Two dogs need two beds, but the living room wall only has room for one cabinet. We built this brown wood piece with a center partition so both dogs have their own entrance and floor. Pull the divider out, and one dog gets the whole span.
Keep the center wall in place when two dogs sleep side by side. Slide it out when one dog needs room to stretch across the full width of the cabinet.
You can hang the side door on the left end or the right end during assembly. That lets you push the crate flush into a corner without blocking a way in.
The wooden frame sits up on feet so the bottom panel stays clear of the floor. A robot vacuum passes underneath without catching on the frame or needing the furniture moved.
We preassembled the main frame sections to cut down on loose hardware. You bolt the major panels together with the included wrench, drop the floor in place, and set the top.
