A bare metal cage takes up the center of the living room and looks like storage hardware. We built this wide dog den in an oak gray finish to take over that footprint as a console table. It arrives assembled in the carton, unfolding into place right where you open the box.
The sides fold directly onto the base without bolts or loose hardware. You can collapse the frame down flat to slide it into a car trunk or carry it to another room between seasons.
The flat wooden top gives you room for table lamps, books, or a television. It keeps your living room wall working as furniture while the dog sleeps underneath.
We closed the back panel in solid wood and ran steel cross mesh along the sides. The enclosed back keeps wall paint clean while letting daylight through the front.
A plate on the front door accepts magnetic photos, stickers, and handwritten names. It marks the den for your dog without hanging loose tags from the mesh wire.
