48" Rolling Cage for Large Dogs

A dog that bends wire usually ends up in a bare metal box in the back hallway. We build this kennel with thick steel plates, support bars under the floor, and a wooden top so it belongs in the living room. It takes two people to carry inside, but it rolls easily on locking wheels once built.

Raised ceiling line

Large dogs need room to stand straight without tucking their heads down. The elevated roof shape lifts the top panel up so your dog can stretch while the outside functions as an ordinary room console.

Drop feeding window

A fold down hatch on the side panel lets you slide bowls inside without swinging the main door wide open. You can drop in dinner while keeping muddy paws or an energetic dog inside the crate.

Locking wheel base

Heavy steel crates are hard to drag when dog hair gathers underneath. We set the base on smooth rolling casters that lock down tight once you finish vacuuming and wheel the box back against the baseboard.

Front name tag

A small metal name plate sits fixed to the front door frame. You can slide your dog name onto the tag to mark which crate belongs to whom when you run more than one kennel.
