42" XL Heavy-Duty Kennel with Name Tag
Some dogs treat thin wire crates like suggestions and bend the bars out of shape. We built this frame from heavy steel tubing and capped it with a brown console panel so it sits in the living room rather than the basement. Two doors give you access from the front or the side.

Heavy steel tubing
Thin wire gives when a big dog leans into it. We welded the frame and doors from thick iron tubes instead, bolting the structure together with steel hardware that stays rigid.
Two locks per door
A single latch leaves room for a dog to work the corners of the panel. We put sliding locks on the top and bottom of the front door, with matching hardware on the side entryway.
Swappable side door
You can hang the side door on the left wall or the right wall during assembly. That lets you push the crate into a corner without blocking the way in or out of the room.
Removable base tray
The base holds a solid pan that slides straight out from the bottom rail for quick washing. Mud and hair come out of the frame without you having to climb inside with a rag.
