Two crates along a single wall consume the whole living room. We built this wide brown piece to put both dogs under one long wooden top that works as a television console. Steel bar panels frame each room, and the center partition pulls out when one big dog needs the full run.
We welded these doors from heavy gauge steel tubing rather than thin wire. Each door carries two manual latches that drop into place along the outer frame to keep panels aligned.
Slide the divider panel in place to give two dogs their own doors and separate sleeping floors. Pull it out through the front frame when one dog gets the entire interior width.
You can hang the extra side entry door on either the left or right end during assembly. That lets you set the crate tight against a corner or couch without blocking your dog path.
Feet lift the lower wooden frame off the floor so a sweeping robot can pass underneath. Slide the bottom plastic tray straight out through the base opening when you need to wipe out grit.
