Two dogs take up a long run of floor. We build this brown wooden console to turn that floor space into one shared piece of furniture. It holds two separate rooms side by side under a single tabletop, or opens into one large run when the center wall comes out.

Divider comes out
Slide the center panel in to give two dogs their own space, or leave it out so one dog has the full run. Two front doors let each dog walk into their own side without crossing paths.
Console table top
The wide wooden top runs the full length of both rooms. It sits behind a sofa or under a wall television, holding table lamps, books, and everyday trays while the dogs rest below.
Separate side doors
We added side doors in addition to the front openings. Dogs can enter from the narrow end of the cabinet when the front access is blocked by an armchair or coffee table.
Raised base clearance
The bottom panel sits on raised feet above the floorboards. That gap lets a robot vacuum pass underneath to gather dust and dog hair without moving this heavy cabinet away from the wall.
