Two dogs take up a long run of wall if you give them separate wire cages. We built this wide console in dark gray wood with steel doors and a removable partition down the middle. Put a lamp on the top and let each dog have their own door.

Divider down the middle

Slide the center panel in place when two dogs sleep side by side under one long top. Pull the panel out if one big dog gets the whole floor to stretch out.

Steel frame and doors

We hung thick gauge steel bars on the front and side frames. Each door gets two manual sliding latches, top and bottom, set into the steel rather than thin wire.

Removable tray in base

The plastic tray sits inside the floor frame and pulls out from the bottom for washing. Raised feet keep the base off the floor boards so a vacuum passes right underneath.

Side door placement

You choose which end gets the side door during assembly. Fasten it to the left or right frame so the dog steps in clear of your couch or side table.
