We built this piece for the dog that works on latches and leaves thin wire bent out of shape. The frame uses thick steel bars under a solid wooden top, finished in dark gray so it sits beside your sofa rather than in the garage. It rolls when you vacuum and stays put when you set the caster locks.
We welded the frame and doors out of heavy gauge steel rather than thin wire. The bars sit close together across the panels, giving you a solid indoor build that holds its shape against daily pressure.
Each door fastens with two separate slide bolts on the frame. Having two latches top and bottom keeps the door seated flat against the steel posts when closed, even if a dog leans into the corner.
The bottom pan slides out from the front rail so you can wipe it down without opening the main doors. It sits beneath the floor grid, catching crumbs and dirt while keeping the wood base clean.
Four wheels carry the weight across wood or tile floors. You can roll the kennel away from the baseboard to sweep behind it, then press the foot tabs down to set the locks in place.
